The life of a believer is so exceptional, he is well aware that
whatever happens to him (desirable or undesirable) is according to his Lord’s will
and permission, and he often says “Allah knows best”.
Allah says;
“………and it may be that you dislike something which is good for you
and that you like something which is bad for you. Allah knows but you don’t know”
Q2; 216
A true believer who understands that whatever befalls him is best
known to Allah, remains free from extreme happiness when good befalls him and
free from losing hope and blaming Allah when the undesirable occurs.
As a result, both trials of good and test of bad benefit a
believer.
“Suhayb Ibn Sinaan related that the messenger of Allah peace be upon
him said; The life of a believer is amazing!, The whole of his life is
beneficial, and that is only in the case of a believer. When good times come to
him, he is thankful and it is good for him, and when bad times come to him, he
is patient and it is good for him”.
This is true for one who accepts the will of his Lord and gives him
a stable life knowing that there is a good reason behind everything that comes
his way whether pleasing to him or not.
We ask Allah to grant us a stable personality, bless us and grant us
goodness. Aameen.
Subhaanaka llahumma wa bihamdika ashadu an laa
ilaaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atuubu ilaek.
